It is the responsibility of the Production Supervisor to provide support and direction for the Triad Process, while providing support to the Branch One Mission and Vision. Ensure department is operating safely and focused on the Mission and Goal statements. Works closely with Safety/Environmental Director, Customer Service, Human Resources, Maintenance Department, Quality Systems Department, and Master Scheduler to assist department in daily operations.

So, what will you be doing as a Production Supervisor Weekends?

  • Identify and stop further processing of non-conformances related to products, processes, or the quality systems.
  • Take action to prevent non-conformities related to the product produced, services provided or the ISO 9001:2015 management system.
  • Make suggestions for improvement and verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Know the location of and understand their control plans, work instructions and specifications.
  • Reports to Building Superintendent and Shift Superintendent
  • Responsible for department housekeeping, organization, and scrap removal.
  • Help to create a pleasurable work environment for employees.
  • Analyze machines to determine machine update/overhaul requirements.
  • Weekend shift is Fri-Sun 

 

  • Will work closely and have duties in the following areas:

 

SAFETY

  • Inspect working areas of employees throughout department.
  • Maintain safe working environment.
  • Lead Safety Committee in the departments as needed.
  • Must know and be responsible for proper procedures for accident reporting, methods, and investigation.
  • Must know and be responsible for MSDS, blood borne pathogen, hearing conservation, OSHA standards, environmental and hazardous material programs, and other personnel programs.
  • Handle emergency medical situations.
  • Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM)

 

QUALITY

  • Perform quality checks in the departments.
  • Ensure that quality check stations are maintained daily.
  • Ensure employees follow all quality programs in the departments.
  • Ensure the department maintains ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

 

PRODUCTION

  • Oversee employees and work with other supervisors in the departments.
  • Ensure all employees receive proper training, achieve each appropriate training level, and get any tools that they may need to do a good job.
  • Ensure people in departments are working at highest efficiency potential.
  • Must complete all necessary paperwork as outlined in Intelex (i.e., LPCS, Work Instructions and Server Files) by respective due dates.
  • Must have knowledge pertaining to inventory procedures, including RF scanning procedures.
  • Ensure that preventive maintenance is performed correctly.
  • Work to solve problems in departments.
  • Monitor overtime within departments and initiate better methods through working with supervisors and employees.
  • Complete special work/sales orders.
  • Communicate with Master Production Scheduler, Shift & Department Superintendents if quantities, methods, and product line are not in order or appear to be incorrect.
  • Address problems utilizing factual data.
  • Assist in scheduling overtime.
  • Must have working knowledge of equipment and ability to assist maintenance personnel with questions and work situation as needed.
  • Schedule and organize product flow in order to meet department and Branch goals.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Knowledge of the manufacturing process used by the company.
  • Product familiarity, including the product structures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to motivate employees.
  • Ability to perform job independently.
