As a Plant Accountant you will have the opportunity to maintain financial management of the plant and also identify process improvements for the team.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring the plant is working efficiently.  The team you will be working with is hardworking but enjoys their comradery, and values providing solutions to move the company along

So, what will you be doing as a Plant Accountant?


  • Perform branch accounting activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and managing reports (scheduled and ad hoc)
  • Ensure financial statement compliance with corporate and regulatory accounting requirements
  • Leading Continuous Improvement process opportunities
  • Perform local tax accounting and reporting requirements
  • Maintain relevant controls and address internal and external audit requirements


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:


  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation (CMA, CPA)
  • 5+ years of finance and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of accounting concepts and US GAAP
  • Experience leading financial close processes and issuing financial statements
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
