Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a bright, self-motivated team player for its Leggett & Platt US Spring Manufacturing team in Carthage, MO. This is a great opportunity for a bright, hard-working professional to further their career. This position affords the flexibility to work with your school schedule and other obligations while providing outstanding experience in operations accounting for a leading manufacturer.

 What you’ll be doing:

· Responsible for planning, analysis, and reporting at a department level to manage costs.

· Responsible for analyzing and developing capital project business cases, managing the business unit capital budgets, and managing capital projects through the approval process.

· Supporting the new product development and manufacturing launch team with product costing and evaluating alternative concepts.

· Participate on continuous improvement teams.

· Support manufacturing plants in various business unit initiatives. Drive cost reduction and profit enhancement via analysis and related recommendations for the business.

· Support both local plant and global FP&A with ad hoc reporting and analysis.


What you’ll need:

· Working towards a post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.


What we’re looking for:

· Ability to work on teams, proficient verbal and written communication.

· Interest in learning accounting and costing methodologies.

· Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Excel.

· Ability to learn various ERP systems and harvest data.

· Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail and process

· High integrity and ethical standards, and an ability to handle confidential information
