What will you be doing as a Master Technician?
- Maintain product specifications.
- Stay alert to quality problems and make necessary adjustments.
- Set up machines for production and complete changeovers as required.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on production machines.
- Repair and maintain all production equipment and parts.
- Assemble new and overhauled equipment.
- Assemble machines and machine parts to meet specifications and ensure correct, efficient operation.
- Provide equipment training.
- Anticipate and report the need for replacement parts to the supervisor using defect tags and the work order system to prevent costly downtime.
- Identify and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks.
- Monitor parts usage and find ways to reduce it. Return all unused parts to the parts room.
- Keep all machine guards in place and perform required safety checks. Report unsafe conditions.
- Follow instructions and work under general supervision.
- Perform emergency duties when necessary.
- Keep the work area clean and follow 6S procedures.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Train new employees.
- Participate in all L&P initiatives including ISO 9001:2015, TPM, Continuous Improvement, ECO, etc.
- Perform other assigned duties or tasks.
- Cross-train in other departments as needed based on business conditions.
To be succesfull in this role, you'll need:
- Demonstrate ability to understand job requirements and complete training.
- Quickly troubleshoot causes of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic problems on production machines.
- Ability to learn to read mechanical and electrical engineering drawings in decimal or metric measurements and make basic math calculations.
- Working knowledge of maintenance tools and welding equipment and metal properties.
- Ability to learn programming/troubleshooting of computer-based control systems on production machinery.
- Complete EOJT training as required.
- Ability to read measuring devices and gauges.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and use appropriate PPE.
- Work effectively with co-workers, supervision and management.
- Follow instructions.
- Overnight Shift (11pm-7am)
