As a Manager- Supply Chain you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Master Schedulers, Branch Managers, Purchasing Managers, and others across the business to implement and standardize effective supply planning processes.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by enhancing Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and drive operational excellence and process improvements.  The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought. 

So, what will you be doing as a Manager- Supply Planning?

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including the Demand Planning team, Manufacturing branches, DC managers, and Business Unit leadership, to help build an integrated and effective supply chain.
  • Partner with and learn from experienced planners and leaders, supporting production planning for Comfort Core, Grids, and Open Coil production lines.
  • Contribute to the S&OP process, supporting improvements that align planning and inventory with business objectives.
  • Assist in the coordination between Wire and Spring production planning to help drive stability and alignment across the vertically integrated supply chain.
  • Support ongoing efforts to streamline and improve supply planning processes, helping to reduce inefficiencies and non-value-added work.
  • Learn and apply principles of lean manufacturing, APICS best practices, and ERP (LPCS) utilization.
  • Assist in evaluating freight and warehouse planning requirements to support cost-effective decisions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and develop your expertise in process reengineering.
  • Help develop and support master production planning efforts that improve utilization of labor and equipment across manufacturing branches.
  • Work with teams to forecast raw material requirements and support inventory optimization.
  • Assist in planning and executing manufacturing operational run sequencing strategies.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a supply chain, scheduling, operations, or planning role (e.g. production scheduling, inventory management, procurement, capacity planning.)

Things we consider a plus:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, LPCS).
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Professional Development: Interest in or working toward certifications such as APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or Oliver Wight S&OP is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow into a leadership role. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
