Maintenance Technician (weekend shift)

We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for a Maintenance Technician within our Operations team to help support our Automotive business.  Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing day-to-day maintenance and operational corrections for the production lines and facility, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and building infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely. This position also serves as a multi-craft technician supporting production processes, capable of performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related maintenance work.

So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Technician (Multi-craft)?

• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and company maintenance procedures.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and adjust or repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues with the operational equipment that is affecting the quality or output of the production product.
• Perform and oversee routine maintenance, including inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to systems and equipment with limited supervision and guidance during shift.
• Execute corrective maintenance on machinery, production equipment, and building components as needed.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, service logs, and equipment performance.
• Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system.
• Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Must be able to interact with management and other employees: to troubleshoot and repair issues with plant production equipment; must be able to obtain a forklift and aerial platform lift license; must possess problem solving skills, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement; Have capability of working in a team environment.
• Working schedule: Friday to Monday from 4:45 am to 3:15 pm

Education and previous experience

• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred (is a plus).
• Knowledgeable multi-craft skills (mechanical, electrical, industrial controls, pneumatic, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of computer usage and maintenance work management systems.
• Prefer at least 2-4 years of working experience in the trained area in industrial manufacturing.

Prefer previous experience in shift leadership over an industrial technical
