As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for overseeing and performing day-to-day maintenance and operational corrections for the production lines and facilities, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and building infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely. This position also serves as a multi-craft technician supporting production processes and will specifically be focused as an Overmold production area wire bender technician, capable of performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related maintenance work.
So, what will you be doing as a Maintenance Technician (Multi-craft)?
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and company maintenance procedures.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and adjust or repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues with the operational equipment that is affecting the quality or output of the production product.
- Perform and oversee routine maintenance, including inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to systems and equipment with limited supervision and guidance during shift.
- Execute corrective maintenance on machinery, production equipment, and building components as needed.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, service logs, and equipment performance.
- Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system.
- Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Must be able to interact with management and other employees.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair issues with plant production equipment.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift and aerial platform lift license.
- Must possess problem solving skills, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement.
- Capability of working in a team environment.
Education and previous experience
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred (is a plus).
- Knowledgeable multi-craft skills (mechanical, electrical, industrial controls, pneumatic, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of computer usage and maintenance work management systems.
- Prefer at least 2-4 years of working experience in the trained area in industrial manufacturing.
- Prefer previous experience in shift leadership over an industrial technical crew.
