We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an IT Systems Technician I within our Corporate IT team to help support our business. As an IT Systems Technician I you will have the opportunity to monitor our networks and other key systems to help ensure their reliability and functionality for users across the organization. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by resolving problems related to operating systems, hardware, and software. The team you will be working with is innovative, and values customer service. This is an on-site position at our corporate office in Carthage, MO and the hours for the role are 11 pm – 7 am, Sunday-Thursday.
So, what will you be doing as an IT Systems Technician I?
- Analysis of dashboards for alerts, trending statistics, and key performance indicators
- Start, stop, and monitor batch processing jobs in Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Create and maintain scheduled jobs
- Assist with preparing and distributing reports
- Identify and document problems while researching solutions
- Resolve technical problems for a wide variety of applications and systems supported within the company
- Support end-users via phone/email with hardware, software, and network incidents
- Log, route, and track calls from end-users to ensure timely resolution
- Resolve a wide variety of problems including PC’s, services, network issues, and apps
- Identify, investigate, resolve, and communicate in-person, over the phone, and online
- Use procedures to solve common problems, escalating complex issues to Tier 2 support
- Follow established guidelines to work and route tickets accordingly
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Ability to empathize, listen, and show patience to all levels of customers
- Be proficient in the English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in an organized manner
- Ability to adapt and respond positively to challenges in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft products, such as Office 365 and ERP Software
- Previous PC and IT experience
- Familiarity with networks and server-based applications
Things we consider a plus:
- Completed or working toward a 2- or 4-year degree in IT or related technical program
- Familiarity with network environments
- Help Desk support experience
- Network+, CCNA, CompTIA A+ certifications
