Help Desk Supervisor

We’re looking for a smart and driven individual to join our growing Corporate Information Technology (IT) department as a Help Desk Supervisor.  The Help Desk is the first line of support for end users across the company, and a starting block for people beginning an IT careers. We are seeking someone with an eye for improvement, a passion for training, and a positive attitude.

Essential responsibilities of a Help Desk Supervisor:

  • Foster a positive culture of accountability, professional growth, and continuous improvement within a Help Desk that provides outstanding customer service
  • Facilitate communication with Tier II support project teams throughout IT to ensure timely issue resolution and smooth project launches for end-users
  • Develop education plans for Help Desk employees to meet individual, department, and business goals
  • Improve IT processes by providing new and innovative ideas to increase automation, add value, and ensure quality customer service
  • Manage day-to-day activities in the Help Desk, including maintaining a schedule and distributing work to Help Desk employees, serving as an escalation point for end user requests, and documenting troubleshooting issues in technical knowledge base.

A few things you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a professional work environment 
  • Experience leading teams, including training, development, facilitation, and mentorship
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Professional attitude with a strong customer service mindset, commitment to meeting deadlines, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Windows 10, Windows 7, and Microsoft Office Suite

Things we consider a plus:

  • High-level experience with Microsoft 365 products (Dynamics AX, Dynamics 365, O365)
  • High-level experience with Active Directory Administration
  • Knowledge of business management standards (e.g., accounting, budgeting, purchasing)
  • Certification in Project Management
  • Knowledge of instructional design standards and/or skillset
