As a Corporate Governance Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to work with Leggett partners worldwide across a broad range of legal areas. Your contributions in this multi-disciplinary role will have a direct impact on the business by supporting the Legal and Corporate Secretary functions with entity management, governance, compliance, corporate transactions, and complex project management.

So, what will you be doing as a Global Subsidiary Governance Administrator?

  • Prepare legal and corporate documentation
  • Manage corporate records and maintain databases
  • Interact with government authorities in the U.S. and abroad to facilitate compliance
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional and international teams, including external service providers and legal counsel, to manage and support projects
  • Support a broad spectrum of corporate projects, including mergers, acquisitions and financing
  • Field and respond to requests for information and/or assistance with various corporate matters
  • General administrative support to the Director of Global Entity Management

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Solid organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with peers and all levels of management and global partners with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving and resourcefulness
  • Ability to take responsibility for a project and follow up until all issues are resolved
  • Ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Ability to adapt and thrive, with flexibility and responsiveness, in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Enjoys a team atmosphere, but also works well independently
  • Ability to process highly confidential/sensitive data and maintain discretion
  • A strong desire to learn, positive can-do attitude and a sense of humor
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree, or upcoming graduate with strong academic achievement preferred
  • Administrative or paralegal experience preferred, but not required
  • Notary or willingness to become a notary helpful, but not required
