As a Conference Center Coordinator you will have the opportunity to plan and coordinate the logistics, scheduling, marketing, and management of day-to-day event operations and amenities. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by enhancing the overall user experience of the on-site Conference Center. The team you will be working with is collaborative and hard-working, and values exceptional customer service.
So, what will you be doing as a Conference Center Coordinator?
- Manage Conference Center event schedule calendar and synchronization of facility-supporting functions for Conference Center rooms, classrooms, show/display room, and board room for meetings and events
- Coordinate with Leggett partners and departments for logistical needs and room arrangements; ensure that groups are welcomed and have knowledge of assigned meeting locations
- Ensure that meeting/event needs are being provided for and maintain refreshments during events
- Plan and manage set up and take down of event amenities, including tables, chairs, caterings, and silverware
- Assist departments in the setup and function of audio/visual electronic tools
- Coordinate and assist Creative Services in marketing and arrangement of the show room, event printed materials, and photo shoots as needed
- Conduct various inventory functions, including tracking of department charges on beverages and supplies
- Perform daily inspections, cleaning duties, equipment maintenance, and replenishment of supplies
- Perform other special tasks including support for Board of Directors shareholder meetings, displays of Leggett & Platt products, and outdoor events and gatherings
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Background in customer service and event planning
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work occasional evening and/or weekends to cover special events
- Willingness to be on-call for possible building emergencies
