The Corporate IT division of Leggett & Platt Inc. is searching for a Cloud DevOps Intern to help support our global business initiatives and will be located in Carthage, Missouri. Our Corporate IT team is proud to be a part of technological innovation and support empowering our global network with cutting-edge solutions and seamless connectivity. Our IT professionals have played a key role in operating to implement advanced technologies that support our evolving business needs. 

 

As a Cloud DevOps Intern, you will partner with our Sr. Manager of Cloud and DevOps, and the IT Leadership Team to collaborate and develop infrastructure, coding, proof of concepts and more! We’re looking for someone who takes initiative and is a team player with a passion for problem solving. We will focus on providing you with exposure to our internal teams with networking opportunities within your day to day and via the Doors program.

 

So, what will you be doing as a Cloud DevOps Intern?

 

  • Design and build cloud systems to support business activities
  • Learn about and contribute to Cloud DevOps team initiatives such as
    • Maturing FinOps practice
    • Self-Service Infrastructure Development
    • CICD Pipeline Deployments with Azure
    • AI Deployments with Azure AI Tools
  • Additional and related tasks as assigned by leadership

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Readiness to contribute
  • Dedication to showing up on time
  • Previous exposure to Computer Science or a related field
  • Willingness to work with Microsoft Azure
  • Interest in Software Development, Cloud, DevOps, FinOps or similar disciplines
  • High level of customer service, desire to learn and grow
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Things we consider a plus:

  • Previous experience with Software Development
  • Direct experience with Azure
