Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Cash Remittance Clerk for our Corporate Office in Carthage, Missouri. This full-time position (40 hours per week) and reports to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor in the Credit Department.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Process lockbox payments.
  • Apply payments from a variety of sources to the appropriate customer accounts in ERP system.
  • Research payment discrepancies.
  • Set up customer chargebacks as authorized by credit management.
  • Contact customers as needed for remittance information.
  • Work remotely during pandemic, until such time that we are able to return to the Corporate Offices in Carthage, Mo. 
  • Flexibility to work overtime during period end, if needed.

 

 

 A few things you’ll need:

  • 2+ years of experience and/or training in Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience utilizing an ERP system.
  • Excellent oral, written and listening skills required to communicate well with people of all levels, skill sets, backgrounds, and across multiple functions.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office programs with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to communicate with department supervisors, credit managers, co-workers, and ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Proficient 10 Key skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
