We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Business Analyst within our Product Life Cycle Management team to help support our Home Furniture business.  In our Furniture Components business, we design, manufacture, and distribute a wide range of components and finished products that enhance comfort, motion, and style in the work and home furniture industry.  From surface-critical bent tube assemblies and molded plywood components to chair mechanisms, bases, arms, seats, and backs, our Furniture Components business brings diverse world-class manufacturing capabilities together in the production and assembly of high-quality products.  If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.


As a Business Analyst, you will have the opportunity to be involved with all phases of the product lifecycle, supporting product portfolio maintenance, SKU management, and end of life activities.  This role also supports international pricing activities.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by acting act as the backbone for product information and planning.  The team you will be working with is collaborative, innovative, and values challenging work while empowering and supporting each other to reach their full potential


So, what will you be doing as a Business Analyst?

  • Assist in creating project workbooks. Compile, analyze, & communicate workbook data as needed
  • Support creation and maintenance of the product portfolio using inputs from category management
  • Focus activities on high-value business opportunities and product lines driving profitability
  • Report product performance in relation to internal and external metrics
  • Support maintenance of international pricing and price indexes
  • Support creation and maintenance of product data structure
  • Support calculations of rebates and royalties


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven ability to analyze and manage detailed product information, primarily attribute and financially related
  • Proven ability to engage with customers & support their requests
  • Experience successfully managing multiple requests routinely
  • Experience gathering, synthesizing and communicating internal product information
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate solutions for internal customer requests
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Analytical thinking and ability to interpret data
  • Ability to support and create tools to communicate product performance tracking
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to create processes that integrate product-related information across multiple functions of the unit


Things we consider a plus:

  • Bachelor’s/4-year Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of product planning, accounting, finance, statistics, or related experience
