We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Branch Manager within our operations team to help support our bedding business. As a Branch Manager you will have the opportunity to lead, direct, and optimize all aspects of the branch operations. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by driving performance across safety, customer service, quality, production, and continuous improvement systems, including ISO 9001:2015 and TPM.. The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.
So, what will you be doing as a Branch Manager?
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for all branch operations, including production, quality, safety, and customer service.
- Ensure effective utilization of equipment, materials, labor, and processes to meet production and financial targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve profitability.
- Lead efforts to achieve profitability goals and continuous cost improvements.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and branch projections.
- Identify operational risks and implement proactive solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Branch Leadership Team and broader workforce.
- Foster a positive work environment that supports employee engagement and morale.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to improve product quality and process performance.
- Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to align demand and production strategies.
- Maintain strong communication across all branch and corporate partners.
- Champion Lean initiatives, TPM, and ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
- Monitor operational metrics and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
- Drive innovation and strategic thinking to improve long-term business performance.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product structures, and operational workflows.
- Demonstrated expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies
Working knowledge of MRP systems, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and TPM practices.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
