The Branch Manager role has the responsibility to successfully lead the operational functions within the branch on daily basis. Support the management team while fostering an environment that aligns with company vision, strategy and culture. The role is responsible for motivating and empowering people to perform the manufacturing process with excellence and to producing a quality product.

 

So, what will you be doing as a Branch Manager?

  • Leading a safety-first approach maintaining a zero-accident culture. Ensures and monitors work, accident prevention and environmental protection regulations of the facility to assure a safe and productive work environment free of any liabilities or defects.
  • Development and administration of operational budget, controlling operational P&L and formulating actions to address variances and gaps, achieving revenue targets, maximizing productivity and cost optimization. Works closely with other departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Quality & Program Management to ensure continued delivery of the manufacturing plan.
  • Monitors quality and quantity of output; takes appropriate action. Optimizes branch capacity and efficiency through flexible plant and manufacturing structures, improvement through Lean Manufacturing methods within operations and optimizes production utilization and strategy.
  • Reviews & updates projected direct hourly headcount changes in HC report & cost data, proposing adjustments as needed. Reviews Margin Analysis at a branch level, reviews Total Planned Expenses by branch, reviews Financial Statements for reasonableness at a branch level, proposes top level provision(s)
  • Establishes a culture of functional and Operational Excellence, supports 5S and lean initiatives.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate internal capabilities and strengthens the organization (Succession Planning) through training, career development opportunities as necessary to achieve operating objectives.
  • Maintains strict adherence to internal and external Business Processes and Certifications synonymous with a large US Incorporation operating within the Automotive Industry and all other local legal requirements.
  • Fulfills assigned primary, secondary and or tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business.

 

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years of proven Operations success in a manufacturing environment
  • A background in Automotive manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Experience in understanding financial statements, in people management and in project management
  • Business acumen with proven track record and expertise
  • Proven leadership skills in a growth and change based manufacturing environment
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Proven ability to build relationships, to drive results through internal partnerships and to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints

 

Things we consider a plus

  • Experience in injection molding and robotic welding is preferred
  • Background in Continuous Improvement is a plus
  • Master’s degree
