The Cape Girardeau, Missouri branch of Leggett & Platt is hiring for a full-time administrative assistant. The main responsibilities include weekly payroll, billing, data entry and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter weekly payroll data
- Manage multiple spreadsheets in a timely manner
- Retrieving, submitting, and keeping records of AP invoices
- Preparing billing and logistical documents for shipments
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional manner
- Greet visitors and assist with inquiries
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems
- Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, and basic reporting
- Handle confidential information with discretion
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Excel spreadsheets using various formulas and functions
- Familiarity with a manufacturing setting a plus
- Basic knowledge of accounts payable and payroll processes
- Customer service mindset
Work Environment
- Office-based position
- Full-time hours 7:30am-4:00pm M-F
