We at Leggett & Platt Automotive are looking for a Business Analyst (f/m/d) to join our Global Comfort Product Business Team in Nuremberg, Germany. In this role, you will report to the Senior Business Director, Comfort.

What you will be doing?

  • Working in concert with the Senior Business Director of the product line group, you will provide data-driven basis for business decisions by collecting and analyzing information on KPIs, risks and opportunities. You will create insights into different scenarios, options and impacts.
  • The business decisions to prepare for include among other things
    • pricing for products and services
    • potential production relocations or production automations
    • make or buy decisions
    • investments in product developments, Engineering changes and Capital Expenditures
  • For this you will collaborate effectively with many colleagues in our branches around the globe and across all functions to contribute towards
    • our P&L management to achieve the product line group’s Annual Operating Plan
    • finding and realizing growth opportunities to achieve our Strategic planning targets
  • You will be part of the global product business team in which you will prepare and facilitate team meetings and follow up on action items.
  • To continuously improve our decision bases, you will acquire, collect, structure, summarize and share knowledge on the product portfolio of the product line group including technology, market shares, quoted prices as well as information about customer target prices and competitor pricing.



We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Business or Finance is a plus.
  • 5+ years of work experience within an industrial environment of the automotive industry
  • 3+ years of work experience within business analysis or financial planning and analysis role or
    as a program manager for product development programs
  • 2+ years of work experience in international collaboration
  • Notable strength in clear and precise communication in English language
  • Very good analytical skills and ability to structure a task, delegate sub-tasks & overcome hurdles
  • Ability to see the big picture and to simplify complex issues
  • Ability to take lead in cross-functional and international collaboration
  • Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and discussions with all levels – from an assistant level up to a senior management level
  • Business and finance acumen as well as good technical understanding
