POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various logistics functions, including customer service, planning/scheduling, warehouse management, import-export control, ERP systems, supply chain improve-ment, on-time delivery, shipment tracking, and cost management. This role ensures efficient and effective logistics operations to support the company's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and customer service.
Order Cycle Coordination: Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle from order placement to delivery.
Inventory Management: Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
Warehouse Management: Arrange warehouse layout, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments.
Problem Resolution: Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to logistics and customer service
Team Supervision: Supervise, coach, and train warehouse workforce to meet productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
Performance Metrics: Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirement.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for logistics operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Technology Integration: Implement and utilize logistics IT systems to optimize procedures.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics operations.
Sustainability Initiatives: Promote sustainable practices within the logistics framework.
Vendor Management: Evaluate and select transportation carriers and third-party logistics providers.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Safety Protocols:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
Employee Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment and address employee concerns.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration among employees.
Reporting: Prepare and present logistics performance reports to senior management.
Data Analysis: Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Team Leadership:
- Motivate and inspire the production team to achieve high performance.
- Recognize and reward outstanding contributions and achievements.
Conflict Resolution:
- Address and resolve conflicts within the team promptly.
- Promote a harmonious and productive work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Proven working experience as a Logistics Supervisor with a successful track record in distribution and logistics management.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management.
- Proven experience in managing teams and leading logistics operations.
- Experience in managing logistics projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation, is beneficial.
- Experience in international logistics and understanding global supply chain dynamics can be a significant asset.
-Experience in logistics management, with exposure to various areas such as warehousing, transportation, and customer service.
