Major Actions and Support Actions
1. Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards.
Training: Develop and deliver training programs on safety procedures, emergency response, and environmental regulations.
2. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Safety Programs: Develop and implement safety programs and policies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
3. Environmental Management: Oversee waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
4. Reporting: Prepare and submit required environmental and safety reports to regulatory agencies.
5. Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency response plans and drills.
6. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with plant management and employees to promote a culture of safety
Educational requirements, Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in managing EHS-related projects, including planning, execution, and evaluation, is beneficial.
- Experience in an industrial setting with demonstrated participation in EHS processes, auditing, and compliance.
Knowledge:
- Regulatory Compliance: with local regulations, corporate and industrial sector.
- Environmental Science: Knowledge of environmental science principles and practices.
- Safety Management Systems: Familiarity with safety management systems like ISO 45001.
Skills:
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey safety policies and procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions
- Leadership: Capability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring compliance and promoting a safety culture across company.
Abilities:
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail for conducting audits and inspections.
- Training: Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs.
- Incident Investigation: Proficiency in investigating incidents and implementing preventive measures.
