(OT) Operational Technology Specialist

As an OT Specialist you will have the opportunity to support the companywide evolution of OT standards, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business.

So, what will you be doing as an OT Specialist?

  • Support the companywide evolution of OT standards, cybersecurity, and network infrastructure, including onsite travel to branch locations.
  • Collaborate internally with branch and business unit OT leads to ensure proper OT procedures are followed.
  • Participate in OT cybersecurity planning and respond to OT cybersecurity issues.
  • Assist with the administration and management of OT device inventory, firewalls and security platforms.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex problems, and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
  • Work with teammates and external vendors to complete tasks related to OT initiatives.
  • Analyze OT network connectivity and architectures in support of network isolation or segmentation.
  • Perform risk assessments of OT devices and define actions to mitigate risk.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or closely related field
  • At least 2 year of experience in networking and hardware installation
  • Understanding of OT infrastructure, devices, and protocols
  • Experience with switching, routing, VLANs, subnetting, and wireless network environments
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP and the OSI model
  • Experience with SCADA, PLC, Industrial Control Systems, and physical data center best practices
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Proven customer service ability
  • Awareness of the business impact of critical OT components
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments
  • Familiar with IoT technologies and methods
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including international

Things we consider a plus:

  • Experience implementing and managing OT technologies, including PLC programming experience
  • Ability to perform OT cybersecurity assessments utilizing NIST standard
  • Experience with Next-Gen firewalls and/or network segmentation
